Are meals and accommodation provided?
Yes, the Gerber family offers every employee free board and lodging.
Where is the accommodation located and what do the rooms look like?
The Staff Resort #1 and #2 are a 5-10 minute walk from the hotels. In exceptional cases, rooms are made available directly at the hotel. Each employee receives a single room with a private bathroom. Double rooms are also available for couples.
Are there parking facilities?
Yes, there is a free parking lot opposite the Staff Resort.
How high are the salaries at Gerber Hotels?
Commitment and performance should be rewarded, which is why we usually pay above the applicable collective agreement. In addition to their salary, our employees receive many other benefits.
What do the duty rosters look like and how are the days off organized?
The working hours and days off vary depending on the position and department. As a rule, we work 6 days a week and have one day off. This day off is agreed with the department and colleagues. Of course, we try to give couples the same day off whenever possible, but this cannot always be guaranteed.
Are there training and further education opportunities at Gerber Hotels?
We attach great importance to further training and offer various tastings and training sessions with exclusive partners throughout the season.
What work clothing is required or provided?
At the beginning of the season, every employee is given a packing list so that they know what they need to take with them. In some departments, work clothes are provided, for example every chef is given a chef's jacket and aprons, while service staff are given dirndls or gilets.
